The purpose of this workshop was to discuss the estimates of time poverty and time-adjusted income poverty for Argentina, Chile, and Mexico. Participants discussed data and methods; issues in the cross-country comparisons of poverty estimates; major findings, emphasizing the ways in which the time-income poverty measure diverges from the standard income-poverty measure for the overall population and for specific population subgroups; policy implications of the findings; planning for the finalization of the country reports; and dissemination of the study’s findings.
This workshop was the second in an ongoing series. The first, held in February 2011, is outlined here.
